Our Inspiration

This is the story of how a dedicated team, driven by enthusiasm, determination, and a deep drive to care for a remarkable woman we'll refer to as Lucy, crafted a unique homecare solution through trial, discovery, and unwavering perseverance. Lucy, who spent most of her adult life in service to others as a compassionate social worker, wife, mother, and grandmother, faced her own journey with dementia.

Lucy's life was impacted by dementia through both parents and an older brother. Her own onset occurred around the age of 65. In her cherished older two-story home, she and her husband had created decades of loving family memories. Facing the complexities of property management and financial responsibilities, especially after her husband's passing, it all became overwhelming for Lucy.

Through the support of her daughter and a daily money management company, Lucy encountered Judy, one of The Purple Nest's co-founders. Initially tasked with resolving tax matters, it quickly became apparent that Lucy required help with much more, including repairs on her home and other investment properties.

Judy now calls Lucy one of her greatest teachers!

Meet Lucy

To safeguard her privacy, we refer to her as "Lucy" here and throughout the handbook.

Lucy's favorite color was PURPLE, so the business was aptly named,

"The Purple Nest".

Coincidently, purple is also associated with Alzheimer's Disease, making the choice even more fitting.

How can Lucy's experience help you?
